Problem adding Regular door in Curtain Timber Wall

Can you guys help me.

I have to add a door in a Bearing Timber Curtain Wall. I modeled the opening to hold it but....

I'm doing something wrong, but no idea what.

I am also thinking I chose the wrong approach (again). Hopefully I will learn in the process.😓

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

If you want to use a regular door, then you need to:

  1. Select the panel that should host the door.

  2. Select and unpin it.

  3. From the type drop-down menu, switch it to a basic wall (pre-create a generic wall with a single layer and the desired thickness).

  4. Once it's swapped to a basic wall, start the Door tool and place the door on the basic wall panel.

See GIF below

Personally, I prefer to model a Curtain Wall Door to avoid IFC classification re-mapping and hierarchy grouping later....
