Printing in dark canvas theme

Hello all,

In reference to the dark canvas theme, does anyone know how to print to PDF in this dark theme?  It appears the print function resets the theme to Light, even if you are actively viewing your work in dark.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

You want to print it? The canvas color?  What's your budget on black ink? Unlimited? 😉

...or maybe you are after a blueprint effect?

It's the canvas mode though. If you want others to see your Views in Dark Mode, then send them your RVT and tell them to activate Dark Mode when viewing.

It’s for people without access to Revit, which is most people.

What about the free Revit Viewer?

What about screenshots or export to image and then convert those to pdf?

Screenshots and export to image works, in that it keeps the dark theme (blueprint theme).  But, both are blurry and mostly unreadable.  I will work on adjusting image export parameters to see if it can be sharpened up.

Exporting to image worked and I was able to adjust the export image settings to create a sharp image!  Below are the settings that I used.  Thanks!

I thought you were crazy as well until you clarified that this was for PDFs. Might not be a bad idea to post to the idea board.

I was trying to do the same thing. I came across messing with the "graphic display settings" at the bottom. For the shaded setting, you can change the background color of your view to black or whatever you prefer and then save as pdf and it will translate.
