Printing hatch pattern printing problems!

I have 2 different views at differing scales 1:50 & 1:20 respectively of the same room (an accessible WC) on a sheet. Both display floor hatching when viewing the sheet but when I attempt to print them the 1:20 view does not print the hatch pattern.

I have created a view template of the 1:20 view and applied it to the 1:50 view, but this does not change things. I want to print the hatch pattern as part of the 1:20 view.

Can someone please help me before I rip out my eyes! 🙂

I am having the same problem. I can't figure out what the heck is going wrong. Shows fine on the sheet print it and it doesn't show. Happens in Revit 2009 and 2010.

I hope someone can shine some light on problem.

Thanks

You might want to try changing the print settings from vector to raster (under "Setup" in the print dialog box). If it's already set to raster, try changing it to vector.

Good luck.

Thanks rosskirby, it worked (and I didn't even need to saw off my left arm)!

Really appreciate that.

Cheers,

Raoul
P.S. Can someone tell me what the little dot on the left is for in the discussion group? i.e. Why is it orange or half orange or not orange? Edited by: raoultittel on Feb 8, 2010 3:11 PM

I had the same problem,  i change the lineweight in the hatch property from 13 to 1 and it worked.

What "hatch property" did you change and where is that located? We are having this problem now, and of course its on a deadline....

  • Change the line spacing to make the fill pattern less dense:
    • Manage>Additional Settings> Fill patterns
    • Select the fill pattern in use, and select 'Edit'
    • Change line spacing 1 and 2 to be larger

The issue comes not from vector or raster and either of line weights.

From my experience, if you use parts, you will have that issue if you use both in the view, so:

In View Template or Properties (if you don't use template), <Part Visibility> change to show original.

It should solve the problem.

Good Luck!
