Print to PDF with Automatic-Short file name

When I export to dwg I select my set and I get this option for auto naming which names the dwgs in the set after the sheet or view name.

I don't get the same functionality when i want to print the same set to PDF page by page.

I have around 100 drawings that i need to export, and i need to keep the same name for the same drawing in both formats.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Anonymous

Hope you are well! Smiley Happy

You can test each of the following exporters, but in my opinion, Xrev Transmit is the best and will save you hours on current and future projects.

RTV Xporter  OR  Xrev Transmit (This one is generally also the favorite option among past forum threads and will achieve what you're after and more).

I hope this helps! Smiley Happy

@rudi.roux has given you some good addon appd to get what you want.

But in case if you need a non-cost solution, you can download some free file renaming program which can rename a batch of files using wildcard, character replacement, or character range.  I've using this method to rename hundreds of PDF in about 10 seconds.  Let me know if you need a lead.

Thank you for your replies. So far I did it using batch renaming, but I was hoping to find a method using Revit only.

@rudi.roux: Good to know about the Autodesk App Store.
