Precise Grading Plans - How do I generate a precise grading plan?

I am working in Revit 2017 and Civil 3D 2017. I need to be able to prepare a precise subgrade plan in either Civil 3D or Revit reflecting the top of compacted subgrade (bottom of spread and continous footings, as well as bottom of base material (Type II Compacted Base usually a part of the slab-on-grade assembly). This needs to be able to imported into Civil 3D as a surface to generate a volume surface for export/import calculations and for the surveyor to perform construction staking.

What is the best way to get there utilizing one or both of the two software types?

Kindest Regards-

In Revit, it is possible to have a topography with precise contour curves, and with volumes of cut and fill, etc. but the topography is more for coordination with the architectural model, not for more specialized civil drawings.

If you have the option of using Revit or Civil 3d, maybe you should use Civil 3D, which is more specialized tool for this purpose. In that case, maybe you should post your question in the Civil 3d forum.
