Planting families dissapear when cut by a section box or scope box in 3D Views

Just wondering why it happens... Landscape architects have to make the section box bigger and hide the objects manually to avoid this issue.  

We can nest the geometry as a generic model in the planting family as well... but it makes the families heavier and more complicated.
