Im using revit 2017 and am trying to add color to some detail items in my section views. Can anyone explain to me how this is done? Ex: i used detail lines to draw in a 2" rigid insulation on the inside face of my buildings concrete foundation and want to color the interior of that area pink
You have to create a Filled Region TYPE, similar to the OOTB "Filled Region - Solid Black". In fact, just duplicate that one and change the color. Easy breezy.
You create a Filled Region Type the same way you create any type. Easiest approach, like I suggested, is to duplicate an existing Type and edit its type properties. You can find existing Types listed under Detail Items in the Project Browser.
