PDF Export vs. Adobe PDF

Hi, all. Has anyone had the issue described in the attached image? Using the native R23 PDF Export tool, the spacing on text doesn't match as displayed on screen in Revit (letters are slightly narrower through Export, which compounds across a long line of text). When using File>Print and selecting Adobe PDF as the printer, the PDF text matches the Revit screen display. Is there a "printer" (for lack of a better word) that the native PDF Export tool uses, so that I can inspect any settings or preferences? From what I've been able to find so far (or haven't been able to find), the native PDF Export is pretty much a black box.

we have issues with the pdf export too. i dont know which printer it used internaly, but there too much annoying differences so we only print and choose our pdf printer instead (bluebeam).

Which font are you using?

Avenir LT 45 Book. It's my firm standard, so unlikely to change.

Perhaps Export to PDF can't handle custom fonts that well.  With Adobe PDF (and most other PDF printers) you can choose to embed the fonts when you print so they don't have that problem.  Until Autodesk gives its Export to PDF the font embedding options, there is not much you can do.
