How can I create a rectangular family thats parametric. I want to have arrows where I can make it bigger/smaller instead of number parameters

Add reference lines and constrain them with instance parameters then you can have stretch grips in the project.

I want these arrows to show up when I upload this family into my project. So I can drag the arrows to change the size

Are you trying to get the arrow grip to show up in 3d?

To get the arrow to show in 3d, you have to setup your rig (see screenshot)

Once you have the rig setup, you should see your grip in 3d view.

As I already said, you need to place ref planes or ref lines on all (4) sides and run your instance parameter dimensions to those planes.  Then constrain your model geometry or linework to those planes.  Place dimensions directly to your model geometry or linework does not work.

@ToanDN already gave you the answers in the first reply. If you really want to show the triangle grip quickly, then select the dimension and click on instance parameter.

Sorry kinda lost.

I put the Width / Length dimensions to the reference planes

The EQ dimensions should be to the model?

Any other dimensions i need to put?

No.  All dimensions are to ref planes.

No.

I did that, now the whole box shifts.

All the dimensions are to the reference planes.

Have you made Width and Length instance parameters yet?

Do you want each of those grip operating independently?

syman2000_0-1693256187850.png

Then remove the middle reference plane and set it to reference rectangle box to origin reference plane.

If you set EQ to the length, this means stretching the length or width will stretch both consistently.

Lock the line to the reference plane

- The Width and Length parameters should NOT be locked.

- Edit the extrusion and constrain their boundary lines to the ref planes.
