Parametric frame

HI everyone
I want to ask about your opinion with my problem. I need to create simply frame from various profiles.
I want to create axis frame. than to every axis assign corect profile ( which i draw). With changing of the axis frame the profiles are changig with it. Than i need to create for every profile parameter length and color a get the bill of material.
I tried curtain walls, generic componet but i am new at revit and i need your advice what is the best way.
Thank you

I tried to find another solution for you creating a frame as in my previous suggestion, loading four structural framing elements into a "complex and truss" family. But this is somewhat complex it seems. -
I am new at revit and i need more practise maybe your solution is beter then structural frame but it is complicated for me.

Not sure why Toan's solution in post #10, doesn't work for you in this case. From your last few posts I would say this is the way to go. If you are new to Revit my suggestion is not going to solve your question, just use the tools provided within Revit.

Curtin Wall/System doesn't work

Structural Framing  and/or SF nested into a C&T family is too complex

Probably suggesting an adaptive family on a divided surface is also not an option (falls under complex category)

What is left?? do it as a face based generic family with nested/shared generic sweeps?

This is a 15 mins task, you definitely cannot call it complex and it does  work for scheduling!!!

Everything is possible yes

You can make your own profiles, nest them in, setup whichever shared parameters you need to schedule or tag, and basically do whatever you desire with them and have it as parametric as it can be!

The above is 1 profile though since all are circular.

this solution is not good for me. revit devide all profile at the crossection. (I think they need it for the the glass and panel geomety).

this is solution but it is to complicated.

It is rather easy to schedule multiple mullions of the same type in a curtain wall as a single length using scheduling tools: filter, sorting/grouping, unitemize every instance.  What you are showing is pretty simple and any of the approaches proposed here should work.  Just try them and what you like then go with it.

The question is, can you schedule lenght of each member? can you schedule their count? That is also a request as the OP stated.

I was thinking about nesting structural framing families into family (you can schedule those easily), but the problem is that those members wont snap to the reference planes (in the way if you move plane the end point moves with it), therefore if you change the width parameter, nothing happens with nested structural framing members.

Some of the people proposed to create new structural framing family (but to start with generic family). But I cant see the way to create such family myself, where I would pick one point and second point and it would create sweep member between those points. And also it needs to snap to reference planes.
