How To Turn Off AutoDesk Analytics Client Services

My Computer’s CPU is getting extremely high everyday when I am using Revit or any Autodesk Product. I found in the task manager that one of the issues is the ADPClientService. I have been ending that task every time I see it.

Is there a way to unload that? Forever?

Thank you

… hi @Anonymous

… yes, you can stop that process without any problem

… sometimes it takes a lot of pc resources

… just go and un-check the box

Perfect. Thank You. I did that and it is working.

But There is another similar process inside Revit that apparently is the same. It is not showing crazy CPU usage but it is still there.

Can I kill those processes without any future issues?

Unchecking that data collection helps but it’s not final.

Do you know Any other way to stop all of those forever?

Thanks.

When I’m killing those Autodesk Analytics tasks the Computer CPU usage goes from 40% to 3%

That will be the ideal %

You should repeat same process in every program.

By the way I gave the same solution.😇

But do you mean that there is another process with another name that you want to terminate? Please elaborate if that's the case.

I will give you the solution Because the process looks similar but you were showing Alias Products.

Thanks anyway.

Take a look at these processes.

It is like the same but inside Revit.

Can I get rid of this one too?

If I end the task the CPU usage gets in 3%

and the Program works perfect

As I understand, you should repeat the steps with all Autodesk software.

Did you already do it for Revit?

They advise the following.

NOTE: if you have already disabled data collection and the dialog box keeps appearing, check to make sure all Revit updates are installed.

In addition, did you close and re open rrvit after unchecking the box. May be it will not work starting from next revit start.

Yes I turn the computer On and Off.

Everything is unchecked.

BUT when openning Revit

or AUTOCad or 3DSMax THE PROCESSES ARE STILL THERE

("But inside the programs")

I hope you understand

But are you using the latest version of each program.

For example if you are using Revit 2018, you should be using Revit 2018.3

For revit 2020 it's revit 2020.2 and so on.

They mentioned in below link that having the latest update would affect this.

Yes Latest of everything. All program up to date.

And now after restarting for the 4th time the Autodesk Analytcs is back.

Like at the beginning , let's start again

EVEN THAT IT IS NOT CHECKED IN THE PROGRAMS. 😡

I am guessing I will have to live with that CPU getting up

You can use Task Manager find & rename "AutoDesk Analytics Client Services"

program file name : ADPClientService.exe

About 2~3time (In different directories)

The same problem here and there and everywhere over... most users just dont give a ****... so its not so obvoius.

AUTODESK probably does not want you to disable IT. Maybe one day IT will collect enough data that IT will empower IT self to take over the steering wheel and control of your designs. Then we will meet in trenches my friend...

Welcome to digital distopia...  none of my request have beenn adrresed since 2018...

have a nice day!

This topic needs an update.  I found settings in my profile to do with product privacy.  Might be okay if it does not happen during the work day.  Desected, but cannot deselect all.  Let see what happen after reboot.  35% of my processor?
