Parameters Within Different Families

Hello.

I'm working with 3 different annotation families. Between the 3, I have one number that is common to all of them.

Basically, I calculated my Occupancy Load as a formula from 2 shared parameters (A2 Occ + A3 Occ)= Total OCC.

When I use that Total OCC Parameter in another family, is not retrieving the value of it. I tried to make it again as a formula of both A2 + A3 together but is not getting the same information. After that, I have to calculate the plumbing fixture counts and I need to split that Total OCC in 2 so I can get WC for men and women, and is not doing it automatically.

Any Ideas?

It sounds that you can benefit from using Global Parameters. You could create one or more global parameters to store values that you want several families to share.

Is this applicable to families? Like annotation Families?

Because I'm only finding shared parameters in families edition.

Any family. The idea is that you can associate parameters of the family, or families, to global parameters in the project, not in the family editor.

Use pyRevit > Match Properties > choose any parameters (shared or not) from the source family to bring their value to the target families.
