Overlapping curtain walls with regular walls

Hello, saw a tutorial in wich explain the overlapp between walls and curtain walls. 

In the video, before put a regular wall (screeshot 1), after click on curtain walls (screeshot 2), select where is put the regular wall and then there is curtain walls between the two ends of the regular wall incorporated in that (screeshot 3),. 

I can't do this. If I try to do this say me maybe there is a type of wall will come hide to the other.

Recommend to cut a wall to incorporate one wall to the other (screeshot in other post). 

Someone can help me?

I think you need to check the parameter Automatically embed in the curtain wall type properties.
