My company has chosen to make standard, "Specify" on open, which worksets to use. So everytime you open a model, the workset dialog opens. We create a new local copy daily from the central file.
We have a behaviour that currently is not explained anywhere I have scoured and so I turn to the forum for insight.
When the model is first created, the workset dialog opens to "Specify", by default, and all of the created worksets are OPEN=YES by default. This may last a week or two. Then after a user crashes, it seems that from that point and time on, the central file has defaulted to OPEN=NO except for what seems like a single random workset. I am able to open the central file direct, and audit on the open, and it seems to reset the OPEN=YES for a short time. Maybe 3 days. but at some point, the OPEN=NO default returns. No further crashes have occurred. Further more, it seems after about 3 - 4 weeks, with stable running and no crashing of the model, this OPEN=NO default seems to appear.
I can assure you, we don't have anyone taking the time to close all but one workset prior to doing a sync, so I am not on board with the idea that it is the workset condition of the last local/central model sync. Is there a variable or something of this nature that can be triggered to return the OPEN=YES to be the constant default in the "Specify" on open dialog?
