Hi

Please explain more about what you are doing?
and

Which Revit Version?

This is related to the old version

Hi @Anonymous - look in the Architecture tab>>Opening group

(mine is greyed out because I am not in a view - if you are in a view all these options will be active)

However, I don't see the options from your screenshot. Hopefully, this does what you want it to.

I am trying to create a dormer in a mansard roof with double slope but apparently it is not possible to get it due to the two different planes that conform the roof.

Thanks

You could also use an in-place Void to Cut Geometry for the roof(s).

I don't have any problem create a roof dormer over a mansard roof.  See attached Revit 2017 file.

I'm guessing the difference is that you  (@ToanDN) created your roof by extrusion- so it's one roof- which the Dormer tool likes, and the OP created Mansard as 2 roofs- one on top of another (both by footprint)- lower one using a Cutoff Level- so the Dormer tool is grumbling about the two roofs?

Kind regards,
Ian
