Open Older version of Revit Model

Is there a way to open an older version of a revit model r2022 use something from it without destroying the newer version.   Example Open yesterday's model.  Grab and save a deleted family, save the deleted family, then insert that into today's version of model?

You can open both Revit versions, save a family of the old and load it to the new, then close the family without saving.

Or you can  save a copy of the old model and open the copy in the new Revit version to get stuff .  Then save the copy under the new  Revit version so that you won't have to spend time upgrading in the future.

"Older version"?  Do you mean a backup? Those files that are created automatically when you save a Revit File (e.g. file name + number)?

FWIW: Version usually implies the year, such as Revit 2023, Revit 2022, etc.

I mean the version that existed yesterday when I closed the same model.

Then run Collaborate > Restore Backup tool.
