Hello all

Can anyone guide me on how to create a glass where one can see through  from one side only and the other side appears opaque or reflective.

What kind of view? Probably would make the window of two panels, one solid, one glass. Then in a particular view hide/show one of the panels.

Glass used in MRI scanning rooms. Where the operator can see the patient through the glass but the patient cannot see the operator.

Hi, to do this you could create an extra material parameter for your family for the mirror side of the glass extrusion. Your glass extrusion will have the regular glass material (transparent) assigned. Then in family editor, use the Paint tool and select the Mirror material parameter and apply it to the face of the glass extrusion that has the mirror finish.
Now you can control your glass to be fully transparent (both material parameters are set to the transparent glass), or with one side using the other material parameter with the mirror finish.

- Create a glass wall with a transparent glass material normally

- Convert the glass wall to parts

- Set the parts to a non-transparent glass material

- Create 3two 3d views and set one view to show original and the other to show parts
