Offset with the option to automatically delete the original item

The idea is, when you offset something, you have the option (a tick box) to automatically delete the original object you're offsetting.

For example. in sketch I want to offset a sketched box 25 mm smaller, instead of offsetting and then deleting all original lines, they will be automatically deleted.

Hi, @Jeane_DuPreez ,

Is this the functionality you are requesting? If so, it already exists in Revit in the Options Bar of the Offset command. Unchecking this box will offset the object without creating a second object.

Hi Kimberly, my apologies I should have added that this feature would be nice in Revit, I believe it's not available in Revit.

@Jeane_DuPreez , what I show is in Revit...2024 Dark Theme. 😊 But the feature is available in all versions of Revit.

Like Kimberly wrote...glance at the options bar while the Offset tool is active, uncheck Copy. Similar for Mirror.

No need to feel that way, not the first nor the last to overlook subtlety, Revit has plenty to go around. 🙂
