Hi. The notification pop-ups that pop up on my screen when I am working in REVIT 2019 are in Italian.
I installed REVIT 2019 on my new PC approx. 3 weeks ago. All of the commands are in English but the pop-up notifications are in Italian. I have tried uninstalling REVIT 2019 in it's entirety using the Autodesk Uninstall Tool and have reinstalled the programme but this issue has not made any difference. Between me and 2 of my colleagues (a BIM Manager and an IT Manager) we have tried this on 3 occasions now, ensuring that the languages selected during the installation are set to English. Please can you provide some assistance? Thank you. Mark

When you go to Options/Check Spelling - Main dictionary Autodesk Revit - what Language is shown? Think it could be with the main/secondary Windows languages as well.

Hi, thanks for your message.

i have checked both the 'Windows Display Language' and the 'Main Dictionary - Autodesk Revit' language and these are both set to English.

Is there a possibility your Windows to be originally Italian version, but set with English by settings? Is there anything Italian language related with the software( Windows, Revit)?  Thank you

Try this & check the attachment :

  1. On the desktop or in the Start menu, right-click the Revit launch icon and click Properties.
  2. On the Shortcut tab, in the Target field, modify the command to change the 3-letter language code specified for the /language switch.

    Example:

    "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2019\Revit.exe" /language ENU
  3. Click OK.

Hi thanks for your response. This is already set to English.

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2019\Revit.exe" /language ENG

Also check your Windows 'regional settings', not just the language settings.

Hi venJZACN,

Thanks for the suggestions. Both the Regional format and Language settings are set to English (United Kingdom).

Hi,

I would like to know whether you've found the solution for this. I am having exactly the same situation. Notifications in Italian, Revit and Windows are in English. I have nothing to do with Italian, yet this constantly shows up even when re-installing.

Really appreciate your reply.

Thanks.

Hi

On @m_montgomery computer the plugin BIM Archiproducts was the cause of the issue.

(Rename the addin file or uninstall this plugin)

BIMArchiproducts.jpgBIMArchiproducts.jpg

If this in not the one on any other computer, disable all addins and find out which addin is causing such behavior enabling them one by one.

How to disable add-ins for Revit

I've had the same problem and have traced it to the same installation of BIM.archproducts.

I contacted them and they tried to help me but were unable to. The said they have fixed it in their new update. That doesn't help me and they have stopped replying to my emails now. The app won't uninstall on my computer and because it is still installed it is happening in my newly installed Revit 2020. Extremely annoying.

Don't know what to do now. I'm stuck. I suppose I could unistall all my 2018 and 2020 products but I don't have a day to go through the process if it isn't going to help.

So far i am having to live with signing out of Autodesk 360. That seems to reset it to english for a while.

Did I say this really sucks?
