Non-visibility of the poche base pattern background fill, in elevations

I am wondering why my poche background fill pattern will not show in elevation views.

I am using my Site - Earth pattern which I show below, taken from the "Material Browser"

In Section views all is well, again see below;

However, in Elevation view only the surface pattern is visible?

Why is this, does anyone know?  I have checked all model and annotation visibility issues.

It isn't Cut.  

...move the Section Marker's "cut plane" forward enough to slice through the Toposurface.
