NewEngland style Garage foundation

Issue: garage foundation wall extends 2ft above "grade" , level 1 starts at top of foundation but floor level is top of slab. When inserting doors foundation wall is not cut to slab , adjusting values places door in right position but with foundation overlay. Do I have to cut opening manually? Am I setting levels incorrectly? (New to Revit, not alot of training videos for this design that I have been able to see)

Do it that way (our method) or use an void cut in lieu of an Opening cut in the family and check cuts with voids when loaded.  Then cut both walls the door overlaps (stem and wall above) in the project. 

BTW: it's not exclusive to NE. Stem walls around attached garages in SOG construction, like you are describing, is typical around the world.

I did a test with Revit 2016 and 2019 and a door cut through both walls automatically.  Which version are you using?  Did you draw the foundation walls as Walls or Wall Footing?

...even so, it's not continuous a wall, unless your retrofitting. 

BTW: curb is generally towards the inside of the garage.  

...one more thing I'll point out: the garage floor is sloped. You get where I'm going; right?

It's drawn backwards but I see your intent, maybe using an exterior door does something different? I believe I was using structural wall type created 8" conc.

Not only is there a grade to the garage but the entry vestibule is flat , I will most likely use the void cutout the door will need conv framing around that might be easier.

Unless you have a dozen doors cutting the foundation wall, I would edit the wall profile or add a rectanglular wall opening to cut the wall.

...or split the stem wall at the door. There's not going to be one there. Likely a grade beam at that location at most. The garage slab pour will include that area the the door threshold will anchor to slab/sleeper.

.. or a stacked wall consisting of 8" concrete for the bottom 24" + a framed wall for the upper part
