New version of materials

I tried to update my project template with new versions of current materials. The new ones seem to generate some strange results, shading in places you wouldnt expect, some kind of transparency etc. Attached screenshot shows columns of two types with new and old materials applied. I tried few different new versions, but the result is very simmilar. Anyone else is experiencing similar issue? Or is that normal new material behaviour?

That looks more like reflections to me. Rather than shading or transparency

Are you using the new assets?  Those are all the ones that ARE NOT marked with that orange icon. New asset do not have that icon.

@barthbradley  yes, I was testing the new ones.

@joe_keogh there shouldn't be any relfections, definitely not such as those. 

I tried several new steel assets, all had the same strange rendering that does not occur with the old ones.
