NEW REVIT 2025 ISSUE WITH HIDDEN LINE GRAPHIC DISPLAY

Hello everyone, I'm having a big issue with the display graphic.

I recently update Revit and the file I was working on from 2023 to Revit 2025. Here is my problem: I'm in Hidden line mode and many object result like they are in wireframe. You can see the pic i add to this conversation. Many furniture you can see the Structure and the floor below. The wall itself sometimes they are grey ( as they should be if cut because of the template I apply), but if there is a floor under you see the floor and the pattern of the floor.

-Clipping is set on Clip without line

- View range is set correctly too

- No transparency is apply to no object

The weirdest part is that if if I export in pdf everything is visualize correctly, this make me think that is just a problem of visualization Of this new version of Revit.

Did someone of you have the same problem?

Hope that there is a way to fix this

Thank you

Did you try recreating the View?  If you can recreate without issue, then I would say the View is corrupted. It happens. Usually with 3D views though.

unfortunately same problem. With all plan views. Section and elevation are ok.

Hi,

Does this happen in every floorplan in the project?

Looks like underlay, but that's off you say...

Uhm, if it was a 3D view or Elevation/Secion I would say a dwg link with large coordinates would be at fault....

Hi

This problem occurs in the 3D view. I design pipes, and sometimes lines appear on pipe fittings that shouldn't be visible in this view. Additionally, the screen jumps when zooming in and out. It is often difficult to select the correct element with the mouse. When I generate a new 3D view, it often works correctly.

The solution is to delete the view and generate a new one.

Hi @KrzysztofSzalucha ,

If this kind of problem occurs in a 3D view it's because of large coordinates, mostly from a DWG link that's visible in the 3D view.

This can also happen in Elevation/Sections, but if the DWG is turned off in those they "recover", with 3D view they mostly don't because the settings of the view have gotten to large coordinates (Eye/Target elevation)

Solution to prevent this to link dwg only per view or place them in a seperate workset, which has been turned off in the default viewtemplate for 3D views.

I also have this problem in Revit 2025. Everything looks like in wireframe even though the display is set to hidden line. I tried to duplicate the view, duplicate the view template, recreate the view, remove CAD drawings, same problem. It's a plan view; the 3D views are ok. Strangely enough, the PDF is ok.

Maybe a graphics card issue.

How far from the internal origin is the model?

Note duplicating the view will mostly copy the issue with it, create the floorplan from scratch with Create > Planviews
