New PC, Revit 2024.1 Crashes While in 3D Perspective Views

Hello,

I have recently built a new PC, with an RTX 4090, AMD Ryzen 9 7950x, 64GB ram (Trident Z5 Neo) running on AMD EXPO & 6000MT/s. I am unsure if any of my hardware is relevant to the issue.

While in my Revit file, It would crash while I am 3D (perspective) views while I am working. I had this issue yesterday as it would crash immediately upon opening up the view. I have since deleted and made a new one but after a few minutes of working (I was trying to create void extrusions to remove portions of toposolid) it has crashed again with the same error. I am aware that this workflow might not be for everyone but I like the control of moving the camera around exactly where I want (I use this in conjunction with 3D axonometric views).

First thing is to exclude hardware issues. Update BIOS and all drivers. Run a benchmark/stresstest that taxes CPU, RAM and GPU. This would exclude any PSU/cooling or other issues.

Yes, your listed hardware sounds good. But if it is in a hotbox and has a cheap PSU, anything could happen.

Revit Version: R2026.4.2
Hardware: i9 14900K, 64GB, Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada 16GB
Add-ins: ElumTools; Ripple-HVAC; ElectroBIM; Qbitec

Hardware was benchtested already. GPU and CPU run fine. Cooking is more than adequate. All bios and drivers are updated. Even two drivers used (studio vs gaming). My power supply is a thermaltake toughpower gf3 1200W 80 plus gold. I’m not seeing any issues yet.
