New at Revit- Wall command isn't working

I have a floor plan that I laid out in AutoCAD and I'd like to try to model it in Revit.  I have saved the bare plan and linked it to my Revit file.  For some reason, when I try to draw my exterior walls I don't get a wall with the appropriate thickness, instead I just get a line and an error "Could not create integral wall sweep for wall instance. Sweep position is outside of its wall. Please check sweep parameters."

I'm running the 2017 version

What is going on?

Sounds like the built-in Sweep doesn't like it's settings. Post the file.

Hi @keimigassociates

Thank you for the question.  Is this a wall you created?

If so I would delete the sweeps, and see if that corrects your problem.  I have had this happen when my sweeps are offset from the wall, so Revit cannot create it.

I would think fixing the Integral Sweeps would be preferable to removing them. That's a lot of work building Sweeps into Wall Types. Betcha the fix is easy too.

Here is the file.  For some reason the sweeps are now grayed out in the wall type editor.

You need to set your Edit Assembly Preview to SECTION.

Hi @keimigassociates

As stated these kind of errors can be ignored.  I think you are getting it though because the sample wall 20'-0" so it is not able to create the sweeps that are above 10'-0" which is the height of your walls.
