Hey all,
I have created a generic annotation within a door family to show the fireproof rating of that door. The generic annotation is shown with a visibility type parameter. Everything is working accordingly within the plans, the generic annotation is scaling with the view and shown on all doors. However, we use Assemblies of the doors to create Detail Views, and this is where the generic annotation disappears. I have tried different Subcategories, changing the View Range, change the Graphic Options but all to no success.
For now, I have replaced the Generic Annotation with Symbols in the family to make them visible in the Detail Views, however, I would still like to know if someone else has had this problem before, I can't seem to find anything online. I have added the family to this post 🙂
Thanks!

The Generic Annotation which you add in the Family will be visible only in that specific view type...Subsequently adding them in a "Floor Plan" View, they will show only in floor plan views (ie: Floor and RFC Plans only)
Same applies for callouts ...

You cannot create a Detail view in a Family...that is a project thing only
