We are facing issue while mirror structural connection family into one of our project. We are using same family and place these into multiple places and want to mirror the same for copy things into another location. Here we have given the Element property snaps in three different Scenario.

Scenario 1

Scenario 2

Scenario 3

We can't copy due to below error snap. We have tried several alternative stuff like Link, group, individual elements etc. however not copying the same in the correct location. Any suggestion and feedback is really help in our critical situation. Mainly we have to do it for several places with a large quantity of elements.

Thanks & Regards

I did not get exactly what the issue/error you are getting is...

If you are referring to the issue with the families becoming - Not Associated and losing scheduled level, that is due to 2 reasons:

  1. The connections are Face Based components
  2. You are copying/mirroring in 3D view

Instead of hosting on a Face, host them on a workplane

I've always thought that Structural Connection are not covered by copy monitor!!!  So I am not sure how you are receiving that error...and would prefer not to make wild guesses

If it is possible to attach the model or partial copy of it, please do so

Thank you for sharing the info.

Mainly we want to just mirror L-Bracket family (count is large) from one side to another side. For this we have done few alternative ways but we can't make it due to Revit error msg (shared in my previous chat).

We received the error while Mirror the  L-Bracket elements not using the Copy Mirror option In Revit.

Totally understandable... but personally (just from looking at the images you posted) I am unable to figure out the reason why Revit is throwing that error at you. Structural Connections are not included in the elements which may be copied/monitored so you shouldn't be getting that error...that is all I can say

Should you attach the sample model I would be more than happy to dig deeper and see what is going on

Attaching the Revit project file with a reference snap for your ready reference. All elements need to mirror from left side to Right side with exact elevations value. Revit version is 2020.

You can save a copy of the file, link it in and mirror the link.  But you won't be able to bind the link so any changes need to be done in the original non mirrored model.

What about adding a Flip Control to the Family and Flip Facing?
