Nested DWG detail into Door family

Hello,

I am nesting (importing really) a couple of DWG details into a door. I then set their visibility to Fine detail only.

In plan, the detail DWG elements work as expected, both in the family editor and the project.

However, in elevations (Left, or Right or in section through the door) I can place the DWG but once I set its detail level, the DWG disappears, for good. It's still in the family, but will not show anymore, even if I set the visibility back to all LOD.

In the project as well the DWG is no longer visible.

Before I waste any more time on this, IS anyone is aware of this issue?

Revit 2018 (latest upgrade).

Thank you

Regards

Gio

Have you tried importing the DWG detail on a Generic Model before nesting this model into your Family? Just make sure Work plane based is checked and Always Vertical is not selected to allow you to place this onto any Face in your Family. Hope it makes sense.

Creating a detail family and nesting that one into the elevation / section view of the main family, worked.
