Revit to .fbx to Twinmotion

Hi,

I've been having trouble figuring out why my Twinmotion file size increases drastically after loading a .fbx file (export from Revit)?

I even made sure to delete any other background or previous links that I would be replacing with new files to assure that I'm not duplicating any links unnecessarily.

Here were the steps I took:

  1. I have a 500MB Twinmotion file that I'm using as a base
  2. I delete a link from both the import dock AND the side search bar that brings down the file size to 48MB ater saving
  3. I upload an updated .fbx file that is about 184MB
  4. After saving the Twinmotion file, it jumps back up almost 1.5GB
  5. I double check to see if anything is duplicated over each other, but that's not the case, and there's not a duplication of entourage either.

Any ideas why Twinmotion would exponentially increase the file size when the total size should have been only about 230MB (48+184)?

When I worked with Twinmotion and Revit, I used "Twinmotion Dynamic Link" and it works smoothly!

Do not need to export and import method, just one click!

I have tried this FBX but the ending result is weird. No lights, no materials.
