Need help with Roof

Hi

I am trying to draw a roof to a single storey house with porch. My porch roof needs to be 300mm above the main roof. I am not getting it right and do not understand what I am doing wrong. Can anyone help me please? I am attaching a revit file and a picture.

Extend the porch roof to the main roof and use the join tool.  Over the part where there is no overhang, note that a roof boundary line has a height offset - adjust that so that it's the same level as the other eaves.

Well, the problem you are having is that 300 doesn't work as you can see.  264.6 works though. Roofs will join nicely afterwards.

I've made it in single Roof by Footprint , using a small trick .... introducing by using split element, of a small flat segment that will disconnect the porch part from the main roof ...

as shown in my screencast at min. 2.09 -3.15

Yes, I use this technique often. I think I originally learned it from you.  After doing that, you can model the under-eave returns via the Roof by Extrusion method and then Join them to the Main Roof to remove the visible edges.
