Multitab shortcut key

Hello, i use generic model in place a lot and I would like to have a hot key that I could use to do select model in plan, then generic model.  Any thoughts.

Thanks,

Yep generic model is the most generic form of in-place families but I wouldn't create a short-cut for it.

I just ctrl drag an existing one or copy in same place then edit it.

On the whole I tend to think in-place is the thing of last resort not a thing of first choice. If I'm using a short-cut I'm being far too dependant on it. There is a whole set of family templates to explore.

As an API developer these things are a complete nightmare to deal with because their origin is the model origin, they have no locality (only when you move them from where they were created).

Create a keyboard shortcut for Model In-Place such as MIP.  Then you can:

- type MIP

- type G
