Multiple revision numbering

Hi

Is there a way to use multiple revision numbering system?  What I mean is for every stage of a project to have a diferent prefix on revision. Preliminary as P01, P02, P03 and so on, than for Tender: T01,T02,T03 and so on, and than for Construction: C01, C02, C03....I've tried to use numeric with prefix and alfanumeric as fixed figures but that work only with 2 systems and at first place alfanumeric have to be used othervise revision shedule is not in the right order.

That looks like it would solve our problems, I still don't seem to be able to find it, which tab is it under please?  The search doesn't offer any assistance for 'revision properties' either.  Much appreciated, Donna

Tabs are shown in the screenshots: Fields tab and Sorting/grouping tab.

going back to revit 2021, is it possible to get the numbering as P01, P02 instead of just P1, P2? our document manager requires two indexes after P and C.

We've tried something similar previously, but this meant that we had to put entries manually and needed to create by far many more revisions which were not only date-specific, but also sheet-specific and this ended up in many errors and a chaotic list of revisions. In a large team where there could be more than 10 revisions added per day because of this approach, member of the team often confuse the revisions ticked and this is a problem when issuing contractual documents.

Why can't Autodesk update this function in Revit and allow multiple numeric/alphanumeric entries, so that it can satisfy the requirement and also promote automation, which a software is supposed to do in principle?

This has been an industry-wide ongoing problem for far too long.

Yes, you choose your P series to be Alphanumeric and include the 0 in the sequence you want.
For us, it's unlikely that our T issue will go more than 9 issues, so we set it up like shown in the screenshots below.
I hope this helps!
