Mouse issue

Hi!

i have an issue where my USB mouse is constantly freezing and then takes a minute till I hear the sound the computer makes to notify it’s disconnected then reconnected, my mouse has rgb lights which also freeze and then turn off and then back on, once frozen my mouse on my laptop works fine but I rather use my USB mouse, it is wired, I read somewhere it may have to do with my drivers ? Unsure how to go about it, only happens when using revit 2018

many help is appreciated as it gets quite frustrating when trying to work, cheers

This is not a subject for this forum. Seems more like a hardware problem.

When it is disconnecting and then reconnecting might indicate contact failure. Means it might be the mouse (e.g. damaged wire or contact) or issues with your laptop. So I would try different mouse, different USB port. Check if the mouse works properly on another computer and so on.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

If it is battery powered, check the batteries.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

That would be my guess too.  Might not even be the mouse. Might be USB. Anyways, that's all done through Windows --not Revit.  Start at Device Manager.
