Hi all

seems simple but I just can't find the answer, control C an item from one view like site works plan and paste control V into another, its shows its original position but I can't seem to find the key to getting it to snap into that position, I am left clicking or enter and it will place it where my curser is, see video

cheers

are you paste into another file? it could be they have different coordinates. draw a reference line as a marker to match the new file and see if helps. thanks

its always amazing how a tiny little bit of feedback lets the brain work it out

heres how it worked for me - note the Cntl Alt V just gave me the alarm bell??

but that made me look at the paste ribbon and there it is 'paste aligned to..... etc.'

SHIFT, not ALT. That shortcut is out-of-the-box.

Control + shift + v  - still alarms me?? no go

also right click does not give me any paste options - maybe I need to custom something on the right click menu?

weird hey?

Check your shortcuts.

set cntr-shift-v to same place or level (autocad standard)set cntr-shift-v to same place or level (autocad standard)

Thanks heaps, that worked and it was unpopulated - to enter the shortcut you have to so the contl shift v in one go, you can't press one at a time or it wont enter it which nearly had me stumped but then success
