Monolithic stair volume

By Revit 2017, I created monolithic stair and the volume of it appears directly in material takeoff schedule as known.

But when I added paint to the monolithic steps side (as paint), the volume equals Zero, then when I removed the paint, the volume rises again to actual value.

Any logical reasons for that?

thx.

You can try Dynamo for volume calculation of Stair.

Thanks a lot,
It's not about knowing the quantities of this poor stair.
Imagine when you're working on large scale project, it will be impossible to know where the problem is, and often the wrong quantities will be exported as it is, due to these small programming problems, and it will be also our mistakes.
We don't know if the same will be happened with other 'painted' categories.

Regards.

Hi @Anonymous

Here i attached the sample as the same method in Revit 2019, the volume is updates as known., Check out the updates or patches or any for Revit 2017. Meanwhile Material:Paint will detect the thickness (Area) and that also reflect in Schedules.

I thought there may be a Logical Errors.

Thanks
