Model Hatch

Hi!

I have a project using a generic wall family. I dont need/want to build up a wall of all the layered construction but would like to show graphically the siding on the exterior of structure.

Question: Can I simply apply a model Hatch to only the exterior side of a generic wall without adding a layer (thickness) to it? The effect being like an area hatch in AutoCad. I have tried using a a membrane layer of Zero thickness to display a hatch but that didnt work.

Thanks!

Unfortunately - no. If you don't want multiple layers, you have to revert to Paint..
