Add thickness to surface in family

Hi all,

I am trying to model an ETFE curtain wall family in such a way it can be 3d printed.

In order to do so I need the surface of the ETFE cushion to be at least 0,4 mm.

Can you help me to make the cushion thickker?

Hi,
Minimal dimension between elements created in Revit is 0,8mm - if that's OK, then just select the cushion surface and Create Form. It will extrude the surface. You can control the thickness(Offset) in the Properties.
If you actually need 0,4mm, then you'd need to draw profiles in AutoCAD with and then use them to create the form. But I'm not sure if it wouldn't break once placed in a project, given the fact it's an adaptive component.

Thank you for the reply! 0,8mm would be perfect. However I cannot seen to
get it to work. When I select the surface and click create form Revit gives
me the following error: to make 3D firmd first create lines and then select
them once delected click the create form button".

Do you maybe know hoe I can extreme the form element?

I used Rhino to add thickness by using the grasshopper extension and a mesh editor in grasshopper. Good luck!
