Actually in revit there is no much options provided if we club some model elements as groups. This will be great option if we can revit can provide options like visibility, graphic updates using filters. In filters there is no option for Model group to select it out for a purpose graphic overrides.

See the snip below no much options in properties

See the snip below no option in filter creation window to pick model groups, this will easily helps to provide graphics override accross groups for ease of presenting and understanding.

Excepting these options in revit as beneficial options in future revit version

If you need such level of control why don't make them links? So you can even use view templates to be more precise.

You're asking groups to work as families or links, the are intended for a different use wich allows differences between group instances and even between elements in the same group (i.g. exclude, or align/vary parameter values).

Thanks for the reply @jvpantin. Already a project carries more over 100 links because of bigger scale then as you said instead of groups need to linked thats very hard way to edit each. need to update in another revit file and reload in working project. Come on...its not easy way to do each time. Differently model groups can used at great mutliple extent for that revit has to provide options in properties, instead shouldn't limit usage of a tool.

Yeah, it's a pain you know where... If you have so many groups it seems to be a mission for Dynamo. Otherwise, be smart about using multi-category parameters to ID groups accordingly...
