Model chimney

Good morning,

Could anyone help me find an easy way to model a Fireplace chimney?

Here, I have just made a thick brick wall but cant seem to make the ends show brick. Override graphics will not allow me to use Model patterns....

I tried Model in place Extrusion with no success.

Use Walls.

What version on you on.  Revit has Vertical, Tapered and Slanted Walls now.  If yours does not, try using Roof tool. There are other ways as well.  Shape-Editing the Wall Profile is one.  Walls by Mass Face is another.

Maybe I misunderstood. Did you try Painting the blank Face. Just curious to know if that works. Shouldn't need to do it though.  Post the file here and we'll take a look and see.

I.m using 24. I did start out using just 4" walls and did fin a "Slanted" tool, but did not have much in the way of success. Corners did not join well.
I think I am shape-Editing the wall but the sides (Cuts will not become model pattern

The file (434 Carolina Ave.rvt) exceeds the maximum file size. The maximum file size is 71 MB.

This is the error message I get............

Walls, Roofs and Paint Edges.

...and Attach Top/Base tool to attach Walls to Roof.

Yes, that will work by changing the roof to brick. (I now understand)

But instead, I worked with "masses" but was not happy.

Ended up understanding slanted walls. Had to make them only 1/4" and invisible some lines, but works for my "Existing presentation"

Thanks!
