Hey! I want to make the "tower" below (I don't really know how to call it). In your opinion, what's the best way of doing it? Through a mass? Or are there better ways?
Thanks!
It has a outwards curvature but also one near the bottom to a different axis.

Sweep. Revolve.

...Sweep path is a square. Profile follows path.
Looks like an extrusion would work too.
The world is your oyster in Revit. ![]()
I'm not sure how I'll be able to do these perpendicular curvatures with those tools, namely extrusion, but I guess I'll have to get creative and give it a try ![]()
Thanks!
If the front/back and sides are not identical then you can use an extrusion to get the side profile then use voids to cut front and back to get the red bumps. If four sides are identical then use a sweep.
ok, I see it for two sides, thanks!
However, that bump is on the four sides, and the corners are connected. If you just copy and rotate it on itself there'll be no corners
Ok, I'll give it a try tomorrow. I don't have much experience with the sweets tool except for making actual sweeps haha

Mass the basic form and then put Walls on all four faces of the Mass via Wall By Face tool on the Site & Massing Tab. You could then use Wall Sweeps (Architecture Tab) to create those "bumps", as you call them. ![]()

there are several good methods or combination of methods : Sweep, Mass and Roof by face ....
Here are some screencasts which I made a few years ago on this suject....

and my favorite method using Lofts,

Thank you everyone. I've been busy but I'll give a try to all your suggestions as soon as I can ![]()
