missing textures on downloaded object when rendered

when i download a family, sometimes the textures are missing. in my case the plant shown below when rendered only appear grey (original textures were green), is there a way to add them back on revit?ss forum.png

Probably the category (planting?) has a material assigned in Object Styles manager (menu Manage/Settings/Object styles). If it isn't, look at V/G or elements overrides. In all cases, the category, view or instances must be free of overrides to show materials as they come from family.

BTW: Did the Family come with an Appearance Image. If so, Load the Image into your C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\Textures\1\Mats Folder.
