Missing shape editing tool

Hi,I installed revit 2014 but it does not show Shape editing tool.Pls help me resolve this problem.I can't edit floor or roof.

Does it not give the Modify panel on the ribbon when you select a floor or a roof?

Are you able to edit the footprint of floors and roofs or is it totally missing too?  You may have a graphics card issue.  Is this a newer computer by chance with a 4k screen?

If you are able to edit the footprint, you need to go into the roof or floor properties and make sure that the top materials are set to variable.

Another issue....you have Revit LT 2014...then you are out of luck.

Post a screenshot of what the panels look like when you have a floor or roof selected will help too. (Use Snipping tool, not a prtscn)

Hi,

Select your floor or roof and then you can find shape editing in your modify tab. ( Shape editing does not appear for the floors or roofs with slope )

check the blue highlight to be sure that you the modify tab completely.

...also note that you cannot shape edit a floor/roof that is defined with a slope. Floor/Roof must be flat.

There is a reason it is called LT...yeah, no massing and no shape editing.

You should go inside edit footprint first and take out all define slope another wise the panel wont show up..
