Mirror Project Problem

I want to creat a new project mirror imaged from existing.

  1. file>saveas>new name (to local folder)
  2. manage>position>mirror project...

looks fine.  But if I pick anything to modify it, for example a text box I get a series of errors,

  1. a text box being "joined" to an unrelated garage door on another level.  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vs9iwXOSqytrXWvVl0pc97Z_K5-9TMDv/view?usp=drivesdk
  2. If I do go ahead and unjoin and "delete checked" (note 2), it does indeed delete that door.  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ud2eqx57JIbvtqN48ADXCV24lrt8TETs/view?usp=drivesdk
  3. There are design options in the original model.
  4. It looks like every note is linked to something else and un-modifiable.

So the new mirror imaged revit project is not use-able.

Where to begin to be able to use this new, mirror imaged project ?

Thanks!

@steve

Not just text annotations/notes there are  other components which sometimes do not digest the mirrored state.

what I would do is leave the model they way it is and use it as a link and mirrored instance of that link. (Especially if the mirroring is happening at a late stage of the project)

For any edits you would open the link in a new session to modify, sync and then reload into the other model.
