Materiality to generic model

Hello! I am having some difficulty applying materials to a generic model in Revit LT. I want to change the color of a window trim generic model so that it shows up as green when I use the render tool in revit. Even when I click on edit type I don't have the option to do anything with it. Does anyone know if this is just not possible on Revit LT or is there something I am missing?

You need to assign a material to the generic model in order to change it. You can also add a parameter to it so that you can change as needed. See below video. Make sure you tick the box under Graphics "Use Render Appearance"
