Material Tag Gone Crazy

Hi All. I have a pretty simple material tag. No bells or whistles. When you create one with a leader that goes to the left of the text it looks great. But when the leader goes to the right of the text, the landing goes crazy-far away.

Attached you'll find images of the tag at work in the project as well as its family file. There's nothing fancy going on in there that I can see that would make the tag behave this way. What am I missing?

Hi,

I think your label in the family is not centered and placed more to the left.

Are you working with Revit 2024? I Attached the standard family for you to compare.

Turn on the reference plane and see where the text is placed relative to the reference plane. Try to move the text to the center of the reference plane.

This is a common misconception. The location of the reference planes is irrelevant when it comes to leader origin. It is purely based on the elements placed within the family. The issue here is that the text isn't center justified.

Turn On Annotation category in the family and delete Invisible lines around the label.
