Massive Phase Selection

I am currently working on large project, where we have a central file which has 8 different Revit models linked to it. Some of the models have Existing/New Construction phases on them, but not all. Is there a tool or a method, that would allow to select all the elemts in a model (instead of having to select all the walls, roofs, decks, etc. manually) and assign a phase to them?

Sure. The default 3D view should have everything on but the large selection set may cause your computer/Revit to choke and become unresponsive for quite some time.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

If you need to move everything to another phase then just rename the phase and add a different phase with the old name.

You are essentially talking about FILTERING.  Are you familiar with Rule-Based and Selection Set Filtering? How about Phase Filters and mapping Link Phases?  If not, there's your Google keywords to use.
