Since about 2 weeks now, I cannot open my model in Revit which I could open before. The model is in BIM360 to collaborate with my study group at my education. everybody else can access the model accept me, I tried logging into another pc to see if I can open the model from there and it works. I also tried logging in with a colleague´s user to revit on my pc to try and open the model but unfortunately it still does not work. I am more than sure that my pc is capable to open the model with ease (I have opened heavier files before) as some of my colleagues with less computing power can open it with ease... I tried all "solutions" I came across on the web and even formatted my pc, twice, and reinstalled revit before downloading anything else (to figure out if it is a plugin preventing it from opening) but still no success..
As mentioned, I can still open other models, may it be on BIM360 or local with no issues - it is just this one my pc cannot open up.
I am out of options, I even contacted customer support and they could not figure it out so they referred me to this forum instead.
this is all I get whenever I try to open the model and the the screen just freezes in this state.
It's obviously a problem with the computer or it's connection to the internet/network. It's going to difficult to trouble shoot considering that you've reformatted the machine. It might be best to just use a different computer.
Has there been any solution to this issue? I have a user who in the last week has experienced this exact same thing.
I was just having the exact same issue. It locked up at the exact same spot, too.
I launched Revit without addins and that resolved it for me.
The issue was happening on two different machines, in two different locations, with the same files, but nobody else experienced the issue.
Hey I have some more input.
I am still having issues getting the model open. I know I'm replying to something from a ways back, but by any chance were you using Design Options prior to this issue from the Manage->Design Options menu? More specifically, did you recently Accept an option and make it primary?
I disabled every addon (including the addons Autodesk recommends you keep active for cloud worksharing when disabling the other addons) and was able to open the model with errors. Any addon at all, including the autodesk ones, causes the failure.
One more time. Going to copy/paste the steps I wrote down for myself on how I finally got this to work after two days of trying.
