Massing Bug - Updating panels deletes panels

Massing Bug - Updating panels deletes panels

When loading a panel, if you are inside the mass, the panels just disappear.

I know there is a well know bug, where all the panels disappear and placing a panel manually makes them reappear, but this is different. the trick does not work here.

There are two possibilities:

Load the panel while editing the mass: panel disappear

Load the panel when not editing the mass: panels don`t disappear

This is one of many many important bugs in the massing. I wish Autodesk would give some well deserved love to massing, it seems there is no evolution in massing and all the massive bugs from 5 years ago are still present.

I don't understand what you are doing. You say you are having issues when loading a panel while inside the mass editing environment. What are you massing? What is the panel you are loading?

Massing requires lots of testing on each steps..

and Revit is unforgiving when its comes downs to even small mistakes..

but Technically, a small mistake can be huge in geometry.

I would suggest use curtain Wall, Custom Curtain Panel to model that design.

Best luck..

Hi,

All that is shown on the first image are the panels. Everything you see on this is a panel.

When I edit one of these panels and reload it into the project, it react differently depending on the situation.

If I am editing the mass, all the panels of the type I was editing explode. These are the ones missing in the second image.

If I am not editing the mass, it is all fine.

I see this as a bug that needs to be fixed.

Hi Ganesh,

Your response seems to be irrelevant. I am reporting a bug with Massing adaptive panels. This system is full of serious bugs that need to be addressed by Autodesk rather than sidestepped and ignored.

As well, the design I am making with the adaptive panels would be impossible to model and detail using curtain walls. It requires adaptive curtain panels.

Yes this is a very old and annoying bug that should have been fixed long ago

Added a generic idea to improve the massing/panel tools here. Please give it a vote:
