Hi,
I have been using the Autodesk products for a long time now. I used to have a lot of respect for this company, their service, and their products. But ever since they switched to the subscription products, it seems that money is the only thing that matters. I will gladly pay for the outrageous and the never ending subscriptions. But why do you ask people to pay for rendering and why do I even need to render online in Revit LT?! The only reason that I can think of is more profit. I understand that people use to buy Revit 2005 and used that for ever and you were losing money but what in the world is the CREDITS for?
I mean Revit LT is already limited in so many ways! I am doing a free internship for an Architect and paying for Revit and AuotCAD myself. Why can't you just support people so they can build a business in future so they could become lasting customers? I would be very grateful if someone can provide an answer to my problem.
P.S. Why do I need to enter 6 digit confirmation every time that I log into anywhere?! And yes I did click the box that says "this is my PC".
Thank you!
Hello!
To my understanding (haven't used Revit LT) the credits for rendering are supposed to be for the CLOUD rendering option, which is great to save time and use less hardware resources from your own machine, not to mention the ability to keep working while your renders are being made online for you. I totally get what you say, and I in your place would've asked my "employer" to at least pay for the Revit license if they weren't going to pay you as an intern. Hope it helps!
