Make items visible, but not selectable

I have spaces and they need to be visible to show the space tag.

But when i place, or edit items I always highlight the spaces, which is annoying.

Is there a way to make spaces (or certain families) visible but not selectable? My only workaround is to "pin" a space and "disallow the select pinned elements" . But there is no option to "select all in view" spaces, which makes pinning spaces cumbersome.

Alternatively, is there a way to show the tag of a space, even if it is make not visible? For generic models i can show tags after I hide the generic model families themselves. For spaces the tag disappears when I make the space invisible.

Put them in a Design Option.

That seems to work. it is similar to my "pin" method. I don't know how warranted this concern is, but if i used design options for actual design options, this will make things complicated.

Is there a way to select one space and then use the "select all..." feature?

What seems to work? An MEP Space in a Design Option?

Select everything and use the Filter to only select the Spaces.

Create a Space schedule, group all in one row, select that row then switch to a model view and pin.

thanks to all.

My workaround will be "selecting everything" and filtering spaces and pin them. then make pinned elements not selectable.
